Italian filmfest to screen documentary ‘Lady Quds of Iran’

The 2018 edition of the Asiatica Film Festival in Italy has set to screen Iranian documentary ‘Lady Quds of Iran’.

The doc ‘Lady Quds of Iran’ directed by Mostafa Razzaq-Karimi bears the honorific of Imam Khomeini’s wife ‘Quds of Iran’ as part of the title.

‘Lady Quds of Iran’ is produced by Iran Documentary & Experimental Film Center among other sponsors.

Razzaq-Karimi told local media Saturday that "Khadijeh Saqafi lived with Imam for more than 60 years and the film is about her life since birth."

The documentary was premiered at the 2017 edition of the Cinema Verite, Iran’s major international festival of documentary cinema.

It was named best documentary in the national competition the 11th Cinema Verite in December 2017.

The Asiatica festival is scheduled to be held in the Italian capital on October 4-10.
